Aid to address the increase in the cost of electricity consumption (Power Pass)

Natural persons may apply for aid to address the increase in electricity consumption on tariffs with an adjustment clause if:

  • you have household electricity benefits
  • rent accommodation for a dependant who is studying

Conditions to be fulfilled:

  • your declared family income (tax year 2020) must not exceed forty-five thousand (EUR 45.000) (any income of a protected member shall not be added to the income)
  • be a tax resident in Greece (at least one of the 2 spouses)
  • you must have submitted a tax return for the year 2020 (if you became a taxable person in 2021 to submit a tax return for 2021 before submitting the application)


Procedural steps for household provision of main residence
One of the spouses:

  • makes the application concerning the family
  • confirms or updates the data on the main residence (Directorate and Power Supply No) which are automatically retrieved from the tax return for each month from December 2021 to May 2022.
  • in a second year and after the end of the submission of applications, your application will be cleared and you will see the results by logging in to the application

Steps in proceedings for rented accommodation of a child studying

The parent or guardian shall take the above steps after having submitted a final income tax return for 2021.

You will need:

  • your TAXISnet passwords
  • fill in the IBAN of your personal bank account or account, which you are a co-owner
  • confirm the deposit bank

During an application period you can modify the details of your application.

Once the application has been cleared, you can log in and find out the status of the application (whether it has been approved or rejected), as well as the amount of money charged to you.

Applications are made in instalments depending on the expiry number of your TIN.
