You may request that you be released from the obligation to fulfil your military obligation if you have been finally sentenced by any criminal court to imprisonment or to a sentence which for military personnel entails dismissal and has not been followed by an amnesty, through which the sentence is time-barred and the consequences of the conviction are lifted.

When you apply

• if you are a conscript: From the invitation to rank to the date of your classification in the Armed Forces. If the exemption is subsequently submitted, if you had the conditions on the date of classification
• if you are a soldier: At any time after your classification
• If you are a despatch: After your desertion or desertion has been interrupted.

You will need:

• personal Taxisnet credentials
• copy of criminal record of judicial use or official documents of a foreign state
