You can apply for an exemption from the obligation to fulfil your military obligation if you sit at the Monastery of St Oros or the Monastery of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem.

When you apply

• if you are a conscript: From the invitation to rank to the date of your classification in the Armed Forces. If the exemption is subsequently submitted, if you had the conditions on the date of classification
• if you are a soldier: At any time after your classification
• if you are a despatch: After stopping your anomaly or desertion

You will need:

• personal Taxisnet credentials
• certificate of the relevant Monastery on which you stand. For persons living on the island of Agios Oros, the above certificate must be certified by the Italian authorities.
