Working mothers can claim maternity benefits from the Public Employment Service (PES), provided that:
- you are insured with EFKA
- you work at the start of the pregnancy leave and after childbirth in the private sector under an employment relationship
- you received EFKA’s allowance for absences from work due to pregnancy and childbirth
Maternity benefits are the difference if you deduct from your salary the allowance paid to you by EFKA for the same period.
