Special monthly allowance for seasonal workers

Seasonal workers in the tourism and food sector can receive an exceptional monthly allowance.

You are entitled to compensation if you:

  1. you were employed in 2019 on a full-time or part-time basis, with no obligation to be reinstated under the provisions in force in 2020
  2. you did not receive, do not receive and will not receive a regular unemployment benefit from September 2019 to February 2021 inclusive
  3. you did not receive, do not receive and will not receive the long-term unemployment benefit for the months of January and February 2021
  4. those who did not receive, do not receive and will not receive the special purpose compensation for any other reason for the first two months of the year, pursuant to Article 68 of Law 4756/2020 (GG I 235) or for any other reason, for the months of January and February 2021

It is a prerequisite that you remain registered in the register of unemployed persons of the DHPA for the months of January and February 2021.

You will need:

  • updated individual data in the register of unemployed persons of the DHPA
  • a valid and active bank account number (IBAN) in which you are an exclusive or co-beneficiary
  • a solemn declaration that you remained unemployed and you do not have the right to compulsory reinstatement for the months of January and February 2021

The special monthly allowance is the amount of your last monthly unemployment benefit and is paid for the months of January and February 2021 if you remained unemployed in the register of unemployed persons of the DYPA for the relevant period.
