Economic operators can apply for an AEO authorisation to benefit from specific benefits in their customs operations in the EU.

There are 2 types of authorisation:

• AEO Authorisation/Customs Simplifications (AEOC) providing facilitations for customs simplifications, in accordance with Union provisions
• AEO Authorisation/Security and Safety (AEOS) providing security and safety facilities

An economic operator can obtain all 2 authorisations.
