You can apply for compensation for funeral expenses if a pensioner of the Electronic National Social Security Institution (e-EKFA) dies, provided:

• the company in charge of the ceremony has already registered the expenditure electronically
• the corresponding document must have been issued with your information (TIN)

So far, the service only concerns cases where the deceased is a pensioner.

You will need:

• your personal Taxisnet credentials
• the deceased’s AMKA
• your TIN
• a valid and active bank account number (IBAN) in which you are a beneficiary or co-beneficiary
