You can ask to be exempted from obtaining a CPC if you are a driver in special category vehicles that:

  • have a maximum authorised speed of 45 km/h
  • owned or used by the Armed Forces and Security Forces (Police, Fire Brigade, Coast Guard)
  • serve the needs of the country’s Civil Defence Policy or the Civil Emergency Planning (PASP)
  • are being tested on a road for technical improvement, repair or maintenance purposes or are new, modified or adapted and have not yet been put into service
  • used in emergency or rescue operations
  • used in car driving lessons to obtain a driving licence or CPC
  • used for private purposes and not for commercial carriage of passengers or goods
  • they carry materials or equipment for the exercise of the profession of driver and their driving does not constitute the driver’s main activity

You will need:

  • your personal Taxisnet passwords.
  • attach the required supporting documents (see them in the “Detailed description” link)

Once the processing has been completed, you will see the Region’s reply to Your mailbox. The reply incorporates all the validity attributes of the gov.gr records (unique code, QR code, advanced electronic seal) and can be presented for any lawful use.

Today, the service is provided for the Region of Attica. Other regions will gradually join.
